    • I know…seems I always get side tracked 😉 but they are quite hypnotic to watch..and I was so busy at the end focusing on the little one that I missed a boxing match between the big one that crossed the driveway and the big one that had been near the fence…dang..those are the pics I am so wanting..as it shows their strength and power and the way they use their tails 🙂 hugs and loves Bev xx

  4. they look as they would wait for you :o) is it helpful to feed them in winter or will they find what they need without help? what was it what chased them away? was the guy on the left side a “lonely rider ” or a member of the ketchup mob too?

    • Easy they always fond plenty of food her luckily their range on our neighbourhood is very very big and they move from property to property ..if we were to feed them then they would have big problems..like bears in the USA they would depend on human and they need to work it out for themselves..their are lots of paddocks and dams and they do very well as can be seen by their size and the size of their mobs 🙂 they were startled when the big guy on the left came up because his feet were crunching on the frosty ground hahaha they are ready to go in a second it is instinct..he was a part of the mob and just grazing on the other side with the baby..in fact I was filmng the baby and missed the action as he went across the driveway him and the big roo that was near the fenceline had a boxing match! it was over quick and just a bit of young male bravado 🙂 the baby crossed too and when I went to the shops a bit later they were at my neighbours lying in the sun 🙂 and yes they stop and look when I come out…usually a couple will continue to watch me until I go..just making sure I pose no threat 🙂

      • they are wonderful and I’m afraid I would do nothing than to watch them the whole day (of course, it’s “brandnew” for me). I hope they will have a good roo-life an no one will hunt or hurt them. I’ve read about the great hunt in 2012 and now they are rare, so sad :o(

        • I could watch them all day too Easy..an yes these ones are safe here as the whole area loves them…sadly an are in our state has a sanctuary and somebody drove past on the weekend and shot and killed Pelicans and kangaroos…no reason.just shot them…also there has been a beautiful white joey born in the wild..not an albino just white..very rare and they showed hm on the news but would not say where in or state e lives as they fear trophy hunters….the world is an awful place for sometimes my friend… 😦

            • Or zoos…we are the deadliest species to ever have existed..these creatures are so amazing and I have no idea what would cause a human to harm them other than an innate evil in them and a lack of soul…it really upset me to see that news today..insanity…:(

              • me too and I was sad as I saw a restaurant what offered roo-steaks or ostrich-meat… fortunately the most people thought the same and this restaurant was history within some month. sometimes I skip the news, it’s too much… all are mad about that politician (from environment department!) who paid 30k bucks to kill a lion in africa… but no one acts or is willing to do something. and all the petitions and complaints are like dust in the wind…

                • urghhhh I too have the same feeling..i was petitioning for a politician here from our country who went and had his phoot taken with an elephant he shot and killed..i kept sharing and trying to get people to write on FB ..but nothing….I sent letters and emails..people are too self absorbed..roo is sold commonly here for human and pet consumption…I can’t eat it..i just can’t..how could I ? I am now off to beddies my friend..it is now 0.2 c and the morning will be frosty and frozen again..i will tell my roos you said hello 🙂 have a great day hugs fozziemum xx

                • that politicians better spend the money for that enlargement offers we have in the spam from time to time. seems something on them is too short and they try to cover that fact with cruelty behavior… have a good night and enjoy a new morning with the ketchup mob :o)

                • I agree..they have a shortfall in the manly department and also the brain area..always a way to make up for it is to kill an animal..i say you want to kill a lion go fight one with your bare hands…seems fair..cowards …I had a lovely sleep and the Ketchup mob have been hiding today 🙂

Funny thing happened today here…we got a notice saying we can not feed any rodents: squirrels & chipmunks…I was talking to my neighbor & said how I wished we had Roos here; how would THAT be for rodents??? HAHAHAHAHA!!!
