Happy Birthday Dollface

I had to pop on here to wish my gorgeous girl a Happy Birthday..

 

She is turning 30 in Cambodia and so very far away from us at the moment but of course her wonderful boyfriend Michael is with her on this trip.

Rhiannon turned 19 in America..in fact the day after she landed..so this is the second birthday she has spent overseas..

Funny, i was in labor only an hour and a half with her..Hubby had to help deliver this tiny little girl into the world..clearly Rhiannon was in a rush to be here and see all that the world had to offer..she has always been the same..

I know this trip will inspire her and her art and give her the much deserved break from her non stop work that she has thrown herself into.

I will miss not seeing her for such a long time but i know she has to do this..it’s something i should have done long long ago so i am glad she has this chance.

I wish her the best day which judging by the pictures we are getting will be easy to do..she is happier than i have seen her in a long long time.

So with all my love i think of her and hope she stays safe but absorbs all she can..

The joy of birthdays

The greatest joy of a birthday is not the presents..or the cake ..it’s the fact you have been blessed to have another year on this amazing place we call Earth..
I have always been an adventurous soul and i appreciate very day i am still here..to see new things…learn new things..meet new people and animals…
Thankyou to all the wonderful people i am so lucky to call friends, who have left messages on FB on blogs sent ecards and emails…i think you need to know that i am the sum of all the things i have seen and learnt and all the people i have met in person or virtually..so thankyou for helping me grow and become a more well rounded person…you make me smile..think….reassess..understand..and laugh..and i love you all to the moon and back..Bev xxxx

Forrests birthday thankyou

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes for our beautiful Forrest.

Some people think I must have too much time on my hands,that I need to get a life when I make such a big fuss.

Truth is I do have a life,and it is filled with animals and the joy they bring me.

Forrest is a puppy mill dog,as such he has had issues since he was little,we have been challenged by some things and have found living with him to be a great learning curve .. he is a gentle loving boy with a problem towards other dogs except Doc..he has never been violent but we know his limitations.

He has a full great life with us,11 acres to adventure,Doc to entertain him the cats who he adores and even the sheep are his friends.

He loves people..

As a big dog we know that he is now a senior pet..and as such we make the most of every moment we have with him,if this means making a fuss of ‘silly things’ like birthdays then so be it.

Gladly you are all like minded and adore your pets as much as we do..why we are friends in this bloggie world!

Forrest is my best friend,we spoon on his bed,we walk together ,talk together,play together..

When my heart has been broken he has licked my tears away..when I have felt sick he has been by my side..when I cook he is ‘always there in case I need him’ I spend every day of my life with Forrest ..

He has taught me to be patient,to be understanding,to be less selfish.

He was the one who taught me about puppy mills and what the results are,he opened my eyes to the real world of pet shops and the way they work..and because of Forrest we will always be advocates for shelter adoption.

So thank you again and enjoy some pics of my beautiful  Forrest my special quirky boy who is more than a dog to me ..he is my friend ..

Getting very excited about flying to Canberra next Saturday….

Hubby and I are off to our nations Capital to see our little girl for her birthday..

I can’t believe how quickly time flies and before you even know it your babies are all grown up..

Years have a way of creeping up , this does not change the fact that she is still our little girl,she may be turning 28 but I still see the same little girl who loved to draw and create things,the same girl whose giggle made our hearts sing,the one little girl amongst three brothers.

Happy birthday to my wonderful hubbie…indeed a man outstanding in his field.My best friend and the person i have grown up with and am also rapidly aging with..the man who i have known since i was a 16 year old and the man i will probably see through tired old eyes if i am so lucky.

Father of our kids,giver of dog treats to our boys and rubber of our cats bellies…flock leader to our sheep…happy birthday my sweets..you are indeed outstanding in your field 🙂
