Wags and Waves for Forrest


Our precious Forrest left us recently and my dear friend Sharon from Gentle Stitches came up with a Wags and Waves tribute day..she has been helped by another dear friend and fellow blogger Pam from One spoiled Cat  who made a beautiful badge for Forrest’s day.

Sharon has made a donation to a local shelter in Forrest’s name and Pam is having a commentathon and donating to a local rescue $1 dollar per comment.

Today is also Pam and Sammy’s 5 year blogaversary so we wish them even more years of wonderful blogs that entertain and keep us all smiling when we may feel a bit down.

The weekend before we said goodbye to our boy we had family come from far and wide.

I spoke to the kids and asked if they would mind helping me to honor our boy and they were all more than happy to help.

All our children and their partners were asked to either think of one word or some words that they thought of when they thought of Forrest..we had a photo shoot and it was just a natural thing to spend some fun time with Forrest..we cried we laughed and we all paid tribute to our pup.

The kids were all young when he first came to our home..16 18 and 20..times flies..

    • It was a lovely 3 days we spent with Forrest and the family…we laughed and cried but he knew he was the star..and boy we laughed as his first McDonalds cheese burger left him confused…thankyou my darling friends…you mean the world to us all…loves Fozziemum xxx

  4. This was such a beautiful tribute to dear Forrest and it really touched our hearts and soul deeply. Granny’s eyes are leaky, so we try to comment in between the tears. It’s good to have beautiful memories of a special furrbaby of the family and we know that he will be so missed ❤ Soft Pawkisses for this special remembrance day to you all ❤ ❤ ❤ *PawWaves* Goodbye my furriend, until we meet again ❤

  5. Bev all I see – in every shot – is pure love. It’s the best thing ever – surrounded by love until the very last breath. Forrest had that……from all of you. Thanks for sharing him with us – and we hope today is a HAPPY day full of tribute posts and love from so many of us who know you and your family and share in your loss.

  9. A most beautiful tribute Bev and Family! Love seeing your family with Mr.Forrest. He was a BIG boy with a big happy life because he had all his people that cared for him and loved him so much. Thinking of you with all my heart.

  15. Well you melted my heart and made my eyes leak again. The photo,of Forrest with the red toy in his mouth is so perfect. I posted a card f ok my girls at the tabby cat club. I’ll send it to you as it is t really readable on that site. Your family is clearly very close and loving and all loved Forrest

  16. Bev, so sorry you have lost dear Forrest. He will have flowers planted in our garden here for him. Remember, he is only on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Out of sight, but never far from heart and mind.

  17. Oh Bev, all those photos are wonderful! Such great memories for you, Phil, and the “kids”! I know how much you all miss your Forrest, for we miss our sweet Callie that much too.   21. I’m so sorry you lost your Good Dog. He had a good send off, however. It is so much better when we can say goodbye on a good note rather than a shocking one. I hope you are all okay – grief of this magnitude can cause health issues in the ones left behind. Wags to you all.

    • Oh sweet friends thankyou..please do not cry..i wantef so badly to show how Forrest was seen by us all..different boy for all of us..the kids were so young when we got him and this of course has been hard for them also..it was perhaps the hardest photo shoot i will ever do..but we were blessed with the time to do it..i see his puppy face and then his last picture..i see how he was tired..we so appreciate all your love and support and your words and friendship..we cannot tell you how much it means to us all..now dry those tears..
