World Cat Day


Often people may wonder at how i can be a wildlife photographer ,live on acreage and maintain a healthy happy balance between wild and domestic.

I can..it has been hard and financially costly but it is possible.

Occasionally Cleo likes to join me on a walk..she is like a dog..she follows me around..and follows me back inside the house..

Dinnermintz prefers the front porch if she goes out.and there she stays..maybe to venture across the driveway and hide under a bush…the driveway being in our front yard and safe.

Pickles likes to go scratch up the garden..then dart back inside.

Marbles likes to go out the back garden  and relax.

This is in the cooler months…when the snakes are not around..they spend the warm months in the house or the catio and are inside before dark every day of their lives.

Today is World Cat Day..and i wanted to share my girls …

  2. I did not know today is world cat day!! Your family is precious, just precious!! You keep on doing what you are, as difficult as it may be sometimes.     • Hahahaah indeed Sammy ..Today the ladies have all spent time in warm spots..Pickles by the fire..pushing those big pups out of the way..Dinnermintz on my bed..Marbles on my chair..and Cleo in my study on a crochet throw… yes a happy cat day is being had by all! Loves Fozziemum xxx

  5. Those are some cute kitties. Besides the artistic style of the pictures, I’m struck by how intelligent they all look. Nobody seems to be saying, “DUH….” I guess I’m just used to Cupcake. She’s all duh all the time. 🙂

  7. Oh, they are just too gorgeous for words Bev. Love the shot of Pickles and Cleo looks like a real adventurer. I can see Dinnermintz love to be close to mom and of course Marbles do what I love to do. Hide in a sunny spot. LOL!

    PS: Love your sandals and thanks for sharing these gorgeous shots of all your beauties. Please give them lots of hugs and kisses from me. 😀 ♥

          • Whahahahah! Yeah, let’s not go any further into that. We might let out some secrets and scare the nice people away. LOL!

            Thanks sweetness and I sure did and did my first post on my new blog. I deleted the old one because of all the nasties that kept creeping in. Let’s hope this time it will be better. But now I am ready for them. Also, my blog was getting full as well. 3Gig is not a lot when it comes to photos. haha!

                It’s okay. I believe everything happens for a reason. I just didn’t want to keep the blog cause everytime I logged in, I was reminded of all the nasties. Not again. This time I am ready for them. But all well that ends well.

  14. Well the girls asked me what I was looking at. When I said Bev’s beautiful cats they muttered something that I couldn’t possibly repeat:)

    They sure are lovely and so lucky to have a safe area to be outside.

    • Thankyou 🙂 Dinnermintz was given the nickname of Ginger Ninja when i had her as a foster..she was a sick little kitten and ended up back with me three times..each time i changed her nickname..ginge ninje..ginny moo and it morphed to Dinnermintz when we decided she was indeed another foster fail and adopted her..amazing how many people love her name..she is a sweetie..and as sweet as an after dinner mint 🙂

  20. You make it work you awesome, wonderful, responsible pussy cat keeper. I have to send this to my Aunt in Gympie who keeps around 6 cats in the nicest cattery ever! They have a house on stilts and the cattery is under the house. You would approve and of course they go into the main area of the house too. My Uncle built the cattery. ❤

  23. OMC!!! Happy Kitteh Day!!!! I agree with Easy ~ the world be BORING without kittehs!!! I mean, who would I chase on my walkies?! BOL!!! We had a kitteh in our neighborhood that liked to sit on my fence and taunt me..til I jumped and barked at it and it fell and I almost bit it’s tail!!! BOL!!! Don’t worry, i wouldn’t do it to you nice kittehs..this one was just invading MY yardie!

    • Baaaaaaaa it’s ok Ruby..the pups here are super good with the girls..but see a rabbit..and all bets are off..so on lead walkies here 🙂 we had a kitty many years ago lost the end of his tail jumping a fence from a doggie 🙂 yikes xxxx

  26. I have two cats. Hmm, let me rephrase that – my neighbour has two cats! They might get fed over there, but the spend a good deal of their time over here either sleeping in the shadehouse or in the garage – waiting to scare the living daylights out of when I go into the garage. We can always tell when the cats have been in the carport – the paw prints down the windscreen are a dead givaway. Weird thing — if I don’t see them, I miss them. How weird is that?

    • Hahaahh Edgar yes it is weird..wel not really..they become part of our daily life..the things we see..and when they are not there we do wonder..and they are so stealthy that yes even mine will pop out and scare the daylights out of me 🙂 My sister had a cat who could not stand her children..i did not blame him..he would leave the property (farmland) when they were home from school..and be gone until bed time..one day a chance meeting with her neighbours and Herman walked up..she asked where he had been…the neighbour said is this your cat? she had been feeding Herman and he had his own bed and toys at her house..even got xmas presents..they called him Thomas hahaha seems he was living a dual life that nobody knew of..as my sister went to walk back home Herman followed the neighbour..seems school was out haahaahaha 🙂
