I have been carrying an older Canon Powershot with me to work just in case a photo opportunity arises, like the feral cat. It’s not my best camera but I can afford to lose it.

I think it’s a great idea…opportunities arise all the time..i pretty much never leave the house without mine…it’s problematic with so many lenses as i find it hard to leave any behind…i always have the ‘what if’s’…it pays off but is a real pain 🙂

I don’t blame you we headed to Mt Franklin and the mineral springs in Dayelsford..up the lookout tower was insanely cold and gusty…missed the snow but i was really glad we got this spot to take shots as last time i had morons sitting up my butt and could not pull over…by the time i could…well you know moment gone!

Oh yes, I know that moment, people can be so annoying, it is also nice if you are prepared to brave the cold, then no one is around, lovely.

Lovely photographs – excellent subjects. I am having so much trouble with my new camera at the moment I am thinking of going back to my Sony point and shoot. It’s not the camera ( A Canon EOS ) it’s me. Never mind – persevere!

Laura thankyou i am glad you are there with me 🙂 indeed it does not look like winter..the chill was minus who knows what..we have a different winter indeed we get snow in the alpine regions of Victoria,New South Wales and Tasmania and even had snow in Queensland..the snow has fallen to about 500 metres on the coldest days so some low lying areas around us have had snow..but not piled to the roof 🙂 the roos have adapted to all the climates here hot and wet..there coats being very dense..they seem less fazed by winter than extreme heat. They look wonderful on the frost covered paddocks grazing and seem to just go with the flow as to where the food is 🙂 xxxx
