Hi folks..i am continuing Bashful’s holiday with us by re visiting the Hot Air balloon ride..i had not shown his pics of the day as I was doing a more ‘serious’ as such post on the event .
Really amazing! I enlarged the that group photo to get a better look at Bashful- and got dizzy seeing how high up you were. Amazing shots- and that’s quite some camera you have there! Wonderful adventure!
Hahah thanks sweets…yes about 4000 metres I think? and yes my camera is quite a beast with ‘Brutus’ my big lens on 🙂 thankyou so much for the lovely compliments 🙂 loves Bev xx
Wow Wow and Wow! These photos are gorgeous. I don’t think I could go up in one of those but the sights are beautiful. Gosh, Bev, do you think it was wise to hold Bashful over the edge like that? Was he shaking? 😆
Hahah thankyou so much..it was a very gentle thing to do ..no bumps just freedom 🙂 and we had a firm grip!! I would never forgive myself if he was lost in Aus! hahhaa 🙂 xx
Oh thanks sweets..i look like I was up at 3.30am…oh that’s right..i was hahahaa 🙂 it was an awesome time..well worth the early bird wake up 🙂 thankyou so much for the compliment sweets 🙂 ❤ Bev xx
Best time ever. Fozziemum was in her element. I was her “Roadie”.
Will do it again. Maybe over the Vineyards where Australias famous Yarra Valley Wine is made.
that stone is a hero…. I mean there is your hand and then…. there is nothing like the air…wow! Chapeau! Is it common to give standing ovations to the ballon pilot too like some people do it in airplanes?
Hahahah no Easy..but we were all very impressed with his abilities 🙂 and yes that Bashful…nothing but air there..mind you we had a REALLY good grip on him haaaahh 🙂 lves Fozziemum xx

OMG!! It’s a plane, it’s superman NOPE it’s Bashful in a hot air balloon – WOWZER! Ya’ll, he had the time of his rock life with Fozzie on her trip – check this out my friends. Again I say WOW! XOXO – Bacon
That is awesome, Bev! Your photos are breathtaking — it must have been even more so in person. Bashful is very courageous (and so are you and hubby) going up so high! 🙂
Thank you sweeties 🙂 it was amazng and yes to feel the atmosphere and the sensation of floating was awesome…Bashful is quite the fearless little dude and well it was safer than driving on the roads really 🙂 loves Bev xxx
Hahaaaha nope the older i get the less scared I get..go figure 🙂 guess when you look at the world and some of the stuff going on you just have to enjoy all you can 🙂
Bev…I think bashful iz brave full…not sure I could do this…the looking down; would be the worst for me…..do they land in those fields all the time like that…wonder what those cows think !! as always, stunningly beautiful photos….they are postcard, calendar and COFFEE TABLE BOOK { hint hint } worthy ♥♥♥♥ Laura
Laura thankyou 🙂 not scary at all just tranquil! they have arrangements with landholders nd pay them quite big sums of money for landing there..i think they warn them ahead of time as it depends on the balloon where they end up! the cows just moved on except one calf who wanted to stay and watch hahaha..his mum rounded him up! pee ess I get the hint hahaa ❤ ❤ loves Bev xx
The photos have brought back so many happy memories for me when I did my hot air balloon ride in 2000 over Alice Springs and covering area 🙂 thank you x
OH MY CATS! What a super fun trip! We wish we were Bashful! He’s like the luckiest guy in the whole wide world! It’s like he’s hit the jackpot with you! We’re super jealous right now! 😉 MOL 😆 Smooches, Roxy & Tigerlino ❤
What gorgeous photos, Bev. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a basket quite that big, that holds that many people, on a hot air balloon. I might feel a bit safer in something big like that! Bashful doesn’t look scared at all….he shares your adventurous spirit. 🙂 xxoo
Jan I it was a good size 🙂 and I felt super safe! thankyou the scenery is really the credit and the camera 🙂 Bashful sure is a great adventure partner for me 🙂 loves Bev xxx
Such breath taking photos Bev!! That is one BIG zoom lens you have, hahahaha!!!
Bashful looks so happy floating around with all of you….I think that little rock has the right idea!!
Love Sherri-Ellen x0x0x0
I LOVE this! Love your photos and seeing the world from up there:) Incredible:) And what type of lens is that? I have a Sony a77 and I am currently shopping lens….I want something that will take wide and zoom for distance…
Thanks sweets this big lens Brutus is a Sigma with a Nikon mount..not good at wide angles as it is really all zoom it’s a 150-500mm F5-6.3 a great lens for my roos etc and a lot cheaper than a Nikon lens..still about 1800 dollars or so Aus I recently got a great little wide angle whch is good for landscapes and it’s a Sigma as well 10-20mm wide angle.also a comparatively cheaper lens than a Nikon but a great lens at about 600Aus dollars 😉 check out some Photographers sites and their reviews on lens 🙂 xx
What an experience Bashful! You are so lucky my rounded off friend.
