Wiped out Wednesday

Hi guys..well what a month it has been..we have been running a revolving door to the vets with Dinnermintz,Pickles,Marbles,Forrest and then Doc..
To say between this and yard work and Christmas preparation I am tired is an understatement.
Hubby has at the same time been working ridiculous hours some days 21 hours and travelling interstate to the point that neither of us remember where he is at times…sheesh. I think he is in Sydney…I think..

We are having the family up a week before Christmas and so if you think you are behind…then it’s ok..i am even more behind hahaha 🙂

The weather has been odd, we had some really stinky hot days then back to the heater..now it is warming up again and quite humid at night..great when you have internal combustion giving you trouble at the best of times.
The garden needs a pruning again as things have grown like mad, my tomatoes are coming along really well and once we can fence the whole part off from the pups the other beds will be planted out with Zucchinis (I love the flowers stuffed) ,cantaloupe, capsicums, chillies, peas, lettuce, corn, pumpkin, squash, spaghetti squash and a heap of other goodies…my greatest joy is to get my hands in the soil.

My camera decided to have a little hissy fit the other night…and I have to get it to the camera shop to be looked at..it seems ok but there is clearly something up with it..since it is my lifeline to sanity I was a tad unimpressed to say the least..i almost went into a panic mode..
But I had words with it and took it out and managed to calm my farm with some shots outside..nature..i thank you ..you always remind me my problems are smaller than they really seem..
Have a great day everyone..i need sleep…flying solo with 4 cats and 2 dogs and 3 sheep and 11 acres of scrub is weighing heavily on my mojo:)

  1. Ooooooh bubbie Kangaroo!!! Now that just made mom smile…and trust us she hasn’t been doing a lot of it lately. *SIGH* mom says although she doesn’t have the revolving vet door to contend with, she is just as far behind in her Christmas prep, usually by this time all her presents are bought, the tree is up and she is planning her baking agenda for when she goes on leave…not this year, not a single item has been checked off her list. HO-HUM.

  4. Beautiful pictures as always my friend. Snorts – my mommy said the other day, “What day is it?” I think you are having more moments than she is on that. Please remember to breath and get rest. Life is hectic – but we don’t need you to be sick either 🙂 ❤ XOXO – Bacon

I love Hollyhocks, sadly it seems that they dislike our back yard, all plants were goners by now :o( the look of the baby-roo in the last picture is priceless :o)

    • Easy I am having words with my camera..i am hoping it can be serviced and feel better..if not..well after the revolving vet door I don’t see a replacement on the cards….urghh..it is a shame your plants have become goners..i thought these Hollyhocks would..i grew them form seed..when they became small seedling I went to plant hem dropped the whole thing n the verandah lost half of them and the others I planted looked tragic..remember Charlie browns xmas tree..saddest look ever..but they survived winter the rabbits the cats and dogs.and now like giant bean stalks..and yes that bubba roo is a cutie alright 😉 and glad they are safe here..i have done nothing but drive past dead young roos and joeys n the highway…too sad..:(

  11. Lovely photos Bev. How wonderful to have hollyhocks. The last week we’ve had stormy weather and some nice rain up here which means I haven’t had to bucket from the dams in ridiculous humidity. The nights have been unusually warm as they used to always cool down nicely, so sleep is not so easy. I think I heard my new butcher bird baby yesterday morning. My favourite little friends. Also watched a young channel billed cuckoo through binoculars which probably some smaller birds have raised at the cost of their own. We never see sparrows here. Off to town today to send off Christmas parcels.

  12. Poor Bev……never a moment to just RELAX although it looks like you were able to capture some nice photos in between visits to the vet! The hollyhocks are magnificent – well done on those………love the baby roo – he’s so cute and no doubt his Mum thinks so too. We hope everyone including YOU can at least have a “normal” amount of hubbub for the holidays this time….you need a bit of a rest and certainly a break from vet visits……we’re sending HOPE for that!

The photos are beautiful. There is nothing like the beauty of Mother Nature to help us feel a bit better, is there? Hope your camera stops misbehaving though!
Hope things settle down so you can relax and enjoy your company for Christmas!
