Some of my former Foster kittens

I have been AWOL and am slowly working my way around to see everyone’s blogs..days of yardwork taking their toll..so when I happened upon this old footage when I was trying to rest up I just had to share.
The footage I took with my mobile phone off the TV..seems I cannot transfer the disc to the computer..urghhh there is no sound as for some reason we have not yet set the DVD up to have audio since we got the new TV..rockin technology at the moment…
This group of fosters from maybe 6 years ago are adorable…all very distinct markings…They were looked after mostly by their dumped mum aka Mummsy .poor darling was a skinny tired and young girl.I named them Marms (Marmite), Medge (vegemite), Sydney, and Rabbit…Medge is the one seen breaking loose from his bed first to see what Mummsy was up to.he was a ratbag and such a cutie boy…his brothers all fast asleep in the bed still….we were mid bedroom demolition at our old home at this time so the room was a perfect safe place to adventure…so please excuse the rough footage as I sat in the loungeroom teary eyed and smiling while I taped it off the tv….memories….they were all adopted quickly when they made weight and went back to the shelter and I hope they still are thriving…

  1. OMC….I have missed you so much Fozziemum! I kept bugging mom to find you but she said you were probably busy. Guess she was right, at least this time. That little kit seemed to be looking for a drink of milk from her mom but her mom was probably so hungry she wouldn’t have much milk until she ate. Glad you’re back Fozziemum.

Big, big hugs for my other mother,

    • Hahaaahh ..would suit him to a T..i called him Medge as he looked like he had face planted Vegemite..which in baby talk to him became Medgemite…or Medge..he was a chunker..by the time his siblings made weight he was well over 1 kilo! 🙂 very precious and I miss my fostering days:)

  3. What a cute little guy…….you should be super proud of having helped so many – if not for fostering so many would never have had a chance to find a forever home……Mom says she’s now had her fill of CUTE for the day !!!!

  4. Bev, they are so adorable!! What wonderful memories and so great to have the video. Gosh, I miss having kittens. Years ago we had litters from our own cats but of course you can’t do that anymore with the overpopulation. We always found homes for them though! I have often thought that one day we might foster a litter.

  7. You are a marvel, Fozziemum! What a fabulous thing to do for all the cats and kittens in need that came your way. If only more of us would do the same – so many could be helped. I think you are also amazing that you were able to give these two cuties back!! I’d be hopeless, trying to keep them all – a hoarder for sure! But so satisfying to know they were all adopted. It’s the time of the year for hard yard work, isn’t it? I’ve been out there today pulling weeds, moving rocks, carting soil and planting things. So sore now! Take it easy and no pressure to catch up with blogs. You do it when you can. xoxoxox

    • Oh thank you sweets..it was always a battle to take them back 😦 but knew they would get good homes…I have had so many but have not fostered for awhile now..so hectic here not conducive to spending time teaching kitties to be cats 🙂 I used to laugh as the girls at the shelter always knew when my babes were back..they would come in and say ‘oh theses must be Bevs ‘ always taught them how to be fun little babes 🙂 and urghh yard work…I know…what a nightmare…we are doing massive work outside with all sort of things and I have just had to go out and shoo rabbits from my Apple trees…I get the back safe and now the bunnies have no fear of being chased so they are getting cheeky! I bet you are sore..i know exactly how you feel ..arghhh take care sweets and have a nice bubble bath..think I might 🙂 hugs Bev xxxxxx

  8. My Grandmother had a farm for years and cats were always being dumped on her road. Sad but true. Grandmother always had a sign out kittens here free. Everyone that was dumped that she could catch was altered. That is how I got my first kitty.

  9. Sweet Bev I can totally understand the yard work, there are so many leaves and pine needles to still be raked up here I don’t know if it will ever get done before cold weather. I hope you are not over-doing. That little kitten made my heart swell, what a cutie. We miss them all when they have to go and that is for sure. Happy to know all of your fosters were adopted and like you I hope they are all still doing well. Hugs!!!
