Today was overcast..windy and very gloomy..in all I saw three roos today..even they have headed to shelter it seems..so I packed the camera and headed to a local Reservoir called Crusoe..
Here are some of the pictures I took today..not all brilliant as the lighting was shocking…and since my eyes were on birds..of course that adds to the complexity of getting a good shot…bad lighting..fast moving erratic creatures..wind…oh and a head ache 😉
Such Beautiful Wildlife… I wonder what sort of Butterfly or Moth those caterpillars will become?

I sadly forgot to add a wild animal today (we had a shitty night after all that bad news from yesterday, sorry :o( ) I know that swallow it’s one of them who were born under my roof :o) the caterpillars look a little scary, is that common that they live in a “knot”?

Oh Easy..we were very sad to hear the news in Blogville about poor Greta..we never met her so it is our loss 😦 we went and sent our love to her family…so very unfair …yes the welcome swallows are very sweet..we have them making a nest under our roof too 🙂 and these caterpillars also known here as Spitfires do always clump up ..they kill young gum trees and if annoyed will spit at you and it burns!! hence he name spitfire..they turn into wasps! how weird huh 🙂 loves Fozziemum xx

Bacon and egg plants! I had never heard of them so I googled them….they are pretty. They look like mini orchids. hahaha…the duck with his butt in the air, is saying what he thinks of the day. The caterpillars make me shiver…ewww. We get caterpillars here, some years are really bad….they are called Tent caterpillars and they eat the tree till the tree dies. In the back Lane, you can’t walk without walking on caterpillar bodies….its awful so I’m not keen on caterpillars. The ones that live turn into grey moths….then we have an invasion of moths.

Lovely photos Bev. I had a fab stay at a permaculture Eco village. Lots of friendly very community oriented people. A great bush walk along the ridges. People there have the land for Wildlife, and boy the Wildlife appreciates it. Such an exquisite joy seeing happy kangaroos, wallabies, so many curious joeys in pouches, water birds on the large dams. The grey butcher birds have a different speech to mine up here. The last day I had there the few tourists had left, maybe just as well as there were 2 very happily intertwined carpet snakes around the central post in the shower block. 1 was huge the other much smaller. I’m not sure that our international guests would have been as appreciative of seeing them so closely as me.

hello Bev you have gloom there too? It is only 43 F here & damp & rainy….too cold fer Nylablue to go out as wind from Northwest! BRRRR!
I am sorry you still ahve that headache; I am very concerned…is it related to your eyes from the Sjogren’s? I know my friend here with Sjogren’s gets headaches at the drop of a hat….I am hoping you are feeling somewhat better (even al better) today!
A girl can hope, right??

Hi Bev: I will attempt to type properly w/out errors. Wish me well 😉
I think you might have ‘marginally’ overdone the weeding (who Bev?? No way!! HAHAHA!!)
I am sorry the eyes are gving you jip; this Sjogren’s is awful….I wish there were a magic drug for it I can tell you.
The Sun is out here (more or less) & it is approx 47 F with a NORTH wind….so Nylablue is snuggled in her bed by the heater…she cannot go out in North wind as that flares her Herpes Virus…..I on the other hand/paw am going to suit up & go to the Pharmacy to pick up stomach meds & visit the ATM. I just need to get out for a bit of a walk…..
How are you feeling today?? I hope improved (fingers are crossed making it hard to type, hehehe…)

I am noticing the neck pain returning since I stopped going to Chiropractor. *SIGHS*
If he hadn’t been such a jacka**…..oh well; nothing I can do now but 🙂 & bear it!
I hope you got to sit outside & just enjoy the day…
It is barely 40 F & rainy here. North wind again so no Condo time for Nylablue (the Queen is NOT amused!)
