Well..after a good sleep and a fair amount of snoring….yes..snoring… I heard faint rumblings and went to check on our house guest…..no sign of the little guy…all I could think of was ..great he has travelled over 9 thousand miles and still he wants to keep on rolling!
No ..he hadn’t gone far..just into my Castlemaine Rock…. a unique rock candy made locally for ever….so after a few chats about the dangers of addiction and tooth decay ..we eased into the cold wintry day..think Bashful thought we would be in shorts and t-shirts..poor guy…rug up little dude coldest Spring in 40 years..
After awhile I noticed Bashful was still a bit snuffly…now I know Bacon had told me he had the sniffles but I was concerned..he also seemed a little wonky eyed! hmmmm..ok ..so action plan..
I rang Vet’s all Natural… I spoke to Amy our vet nurse (who also is the proud owner of her own Forrest, a bulldog!) and explained my concerns and what I had noticed.
Amy swung into action and an appointment was made for 11.am with our vet ….Dr Rayya!
Yep…most of you know of her from her bloggie and Facebook…well she is our Vet! cool hey….
Anyhow..off we went..Bashful getting more wonky eyed by the minute…I really was worried.
We arrived and Dr Rayya lead us straight in…and she was thorough….are his Vacc’s in order,what has he eaten,what ports did he stop at…after many questions Dr Rayya began her exam…
CONCLUSION..BASHFUL HAS MILD SNIFFS PROBABLY FROM TRAVELLING IN PLANES…NO NEED TO WORRY ..AND….WELL IT SEEMS HIS WONKY EYES WERE DUE TO THE LIFT FROM THE AIRPORT BY MISS ROO..HE IS NOT DESIGNED FOR POUCH TRAVEL AND THE DIAGNOSIS…..
POUCH HEAD…CAUSES EYES TO GO WONKY …A FIRM ‘OUCH’ BANDAGE FOR A DAY AND THE LITTLE GUY WILL BE A.OKAY
SO THAT WAS DAY ONE..BASHFUL HAS HAD A MIXED GRILL FOR TEA A BIT OF TV A SNUGGLE AND IS PUSHING Z’S!

Dr Rayya is quite famous on the bloggiesphere and FB so he was in good hands indeed!! she is a great Vet with over 145 thousand followers on FB and yes Hubba Hubba hehehe 🙂 oh he hammed it up pardon the pun! but she was adamant just a sniff and Pouch head from bouncing in Miss Roos pouch….by tomorrow his eyes will be back to normal! we were in for a good ten minutes or more and I think he was only worried when the glove came out 😉 hugs Fozziemum xx

Fitting for a bow tie – he’s going to love that. Don’t let them put him in charge of the bachelor party. He knows a lot of shady characters who would be more than willing to help him. Poor Bashful with his wonky-eye syndrome….why I can imagine that ride with Madame Roo was a bit BUMPY and who wouldn’t have had a headache and/or wonky eyes after that??!! So glad he just had a bit of a cold too – I should think he’s fit as a fiddle (or rock) and ready to REALLY begin sightseeing now! WOO HOO! So he’ll be going to the wedding? He will look very elegant in a bow tie!

Oh my, Bashful has the sniffles! I’m so glad Dr. Rayya was there to help him. She is one of my fav vets and I love her blog. And I’m happy she could help him and he had not to go to the stonesetter :o)

Me too Easy!!! he was a great patient apart from a bit of a freakput at the gloved hand and the sound of a german shepherd barking in the waiting room hahaah…I didn’t want to lose him on my watch!! Dr Rayya is the best…she was so happy to spend time with him and give him the stylish pink Ouch bandage 🙂

Hehe Pix she sure is..we were lucky when we said goodbye to our awesome vet when we moved up here that I tracked her down! the glove I know..she kept leaving the room to compose herself for the pics hahaha 🙂 she got me to take some pics on her camera and I have promised to email the pics I took..plus I linked her bloggie and mentioned FB so people know who she is..Bashful is looking much better..his eyes are getting back to ..normal? 🙂
