FIRSTLY A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO LEFT LOVELY BIRTHDAY MESSAGES FOR DOCS 11TH BIRTHDAY.
HE IS THE JOY OF MY LIFE THIS LITTLE GUY..HE DRIVES ME MAD,HE BARKS AT INVISIBLE MURDULATORS HE PEES ON MY TREES BUT HE IS MY BOY..
SECONDLY I STILL SEND HUGE HUGS TO SHERRI-ELLEN AND NYLABLUE AS THEY GO THROUGH WHAT ALL US PET OWNERS GO THROUGH AT SOME STAGE…THESE TIMES ARE INCREDIBLY STRESSFUL AND DEVASTATING TO US.
AT THIS STAGE NYLABLUE IS STABLE AS SHERRI-ELLEN HAS TOLD ME SHE IS STILL FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT AND LOVE LIGHT AND HUGS WE SEND TO THEM BOTH.
ALSO I AM DEVASTATED FOR THE POOR PEOPLE OF NSW WHO AT THIS TIME ARE BATTLING TERRIBLE BUSHFIRES.
WE ARE IN SPRING IN AUSTRALIA AND THIS DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR THE SUMMER COMING UP.
AT THIS STAGE 200 HOMES HAVE BEEN LOST AND ONE PERSON HAS DIED.I CANNOT BEGIN TO IMAGINE THE STOCK AND WILDLIFE TOLL AS IT WILL BE HORRENDOUS..THIS GREAT SOUTHERN LAND CAN INDEED BE CRUEL.
I WISH OUR FIRE BRIGADE VOLUNTEERS WELL AS THEY HAVE SET OFF TO JOIN THE CONTINGENT THAT IS MAKING IT’S WAY TO THE FIRES AS I TYPE.
PLEASE NOTE FRIENDS THAT WHERE I AM IS AT LEAST 800 KM AWAY AND AS SUCH WE ARE SAFE .
I WILL OF COURSE ALWAYS MAKE AN UPDATE ON MY BLOG AS TO IF WE ARE BUNKING OUT AT ANY TIME DURING THE SEASON..I THINK YOU WILL APPRECIATE THAT AT TIMES I WON’T BE BLOGGING AS WE HAVE STILL PREP OUTSIDE TO TEND TO.
WE HAVE HAD A WINTERY SPRING..MORE COLD THAN WET AND TODAY HAS BEEN QUITE WARM ,THIS IS HOW OUR SEASON WENT LAST YEAR..WINTER NO SPRING BANG SUMMER!
I HAVE GOT THE GO PACKS SORTED AND WILL DO A BLOGGIE ON THIS WITH SOME OTHER INFO OF COURSE.
I WATCHED ACROSS THE PADDOCKS TODAY AND THE GREEN GRASS WAS RIPPLING IN WAVES..I SAID TO HUBBY THAT IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL THE WAY IT RIPPLES LIKE WATER AND YET I KNOW IN SUMMER WHEN IT HAS BROWNED AND DRIED THIS SIGHT WILL HAVE ME CONCERNED..GRASS FIRES ARE INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS AND VERY UNDERESTIMATED IN SPEED AND FEROCITY..
ANYWHO ENOUGH OF THIS QUITE SERIOUS CHAT..TODAY SINCE IT HAS BEEN WARM IT WAS TIME TO SET UP ‘SCOOBY POOL’ THIS BEING A PLAY ON THE FACT THAT DOC AND FORREST LOVE TO SWIM BUT DOC DIVES..WE JOKE WE ARE GOING TO GET HIM A SNORKEL BECAUSE HE ENDS UP WATERLOGGED FROM BLOWING BUBBLES..SO DOGS ..SCOOBY DOO..SCUBA DIVING..’SCOOBY POOL’
HE WAS MOST IMPRESSED THAT IT WAS FILLED FOR HIM..FORREST PREFERS TO RUN AROUND LIKE A TWIT AND WORK UP A SWEAT FIRST..DOC IS STRAIGHT IN..MY WATER BABY.. HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY ALL

Poor sweet NylaBlue…I keep thinking of them too…It’s heartbreaking 😦 We hope you continue to remain safe as well through these horrible fires…Love the Scooby pool…They are all having a blast, especially the pawing of the water…totally cracked us up!!!! We don’t live in a fire prone area (more like flood prone) so I can’t imagine what you are going through, but I hope you and your neighbors fare well this season.

Thanks ..we just do what we can and never take our eyes of the weather…we live on top of a hill so flood would never be an issue..apart from if our bridge is flooded..but fires a beast of a thing.

Oh you try to make your own whirlpool with your paws? Maybe you can use your mom’s mixer? I feel sorry for all people and pets in the fire zone ( and I get leaky eyes when I think about the Roo’s and the other wildlife).

Easy I thinkz I will get the mixer out…..I just don’t have enuff timez to waste whirlin round…but I at least don’t pee in the pool so that’s a bonus..we hate the fires too..grannie getz leaky because she haz helped with the burnt animalz…very sad…all the creatures what live her and what would happen to them is scary..last bad fires where we used to live us guy all went to boarding in a safe place…we waz there for a month..very sad very sad..

So happy Doc had a good birthday! Woo Hoo! We think that pool looks like tons of fun…..love the plopping sound as Doc gets that water on the move (haha). I think Easy’s right – he’s trying to turn it into a whirlpool. Stay safe with all those fires – it makes us very sad that people have to worry about their homes and their animals there in the fire zone. Hopefully it won’t get any worse than it already is. We know you are prepared and that you’re not as close as some are…….thank heavens. We’re very sad about Nylablue too but we are purrraying that her shots today help…….we know that angels look out for all of us – but when our time comes, it comes….and they will carry us away with their wings to a place where we no longer have pain. Sammy you are so right we all have a special time to leave and we do so with grace and love..yes we are safe now our hearts do feel for the NSW people…their streets and homes look like ours..we have had some bad seasons her and hope for a respite from any more..we know our animals will be safe but its the wildlife…we send love to Nylablue and her mum and hope she knows we are all there.And Doc is now sleeping and waterlogged!! he just won’t stop hahaha

I love the video! ZuZu paws at the water like Doc paws at the pool, it always makes me laugh! We’ll be thinking of the people affected by & fighting the fires…they are just so awful. The areas surrounding our city are very fire-prone, we’ve had wildfires here every year for 3 years. Our house isn’t threatened but we live with smoke all summer 😦 Stay safe!

Crazy aren’t they pawing and splashing..mo idea what his plan is hahahha 🙂 we all hate these damn fires,we love the bush but she can ask for a big price sometimes..and I know about the smoke..all summer and spring..we have the smoke from NSW and they have been burning off around Victoria here so smoke all the time… thanks we are no heroes and have no intention of staying if their is a risk 🙂

No guys we are in Victoria so a good 800 or so km away,we have had some smoke still..these fires are horrendous…the rays lasted a short time..hot yesterday..cold today…grrrrrr xxxxx
