Can’t wait until our little friends start moving around again..

We miss the creatures that spring and summer bring..Al being a regular..

Forrest and Doc of course think i may about to be attacked by a Murdulator..

Well we do live in a town called Barkers Creek hhahahaha

Have a great day everybody and I hope our little local resident Echidna brings a smile to your face.

    • Hehe yes his quills are actually classed as hair as they are made from keratin like hair..he is a montreme and luckily in Australia we have the only monotremes in the world! he is very sweet and he has a family here that go into hibernation over winter..they eat ants and termites..and being a monotreme means he/she is an egg laying mammal like platypus another sweet Australian creature..and this boy is STRONG! If they dig in you cannt move them…you have to carefully get a shovel and dig the ground around them..we have had to move them from the fenceline away from the dogs yard and boy it’s a battle! they make funny little grunting sounds too hehehe …their babies are called Puggles and they meet up with the same mate each year..just a bit of what I know πŸ™‚

          • Oh, I see! Yes very similar to our Porcupines. The Porcupine quills are barbed on the end, so they go in but are hard to pull out. Nasty bit of business. Could thing your dogs are inside a fence! I’m sure Al wouldn’t want to hurt anyone πŸ˜€

  1. Al is a handsome guy! I bet he would be a lot of fun to play with – him and the roo’s. We don’t have your kind of cuties in my magical backyard. But, we do have a family of rabbits that come every year with their off spring πŸ™‚ And, of course there is that unicorn back there…. snorts. XOXO – Bacon

      • Snorts – that’s okay. We have an owl that hangs around from time to time. He’s a nice old fellow though. His vocal chords are not as good as they once were so he actually does sound like an owl – who – who. The other night, we all sat on the back deck overlooking our magical kingdom in the back yard that is full of woods and secret places. We could hear the owl and the frogs croaking. We even heard a train whistle in the distance. The moon was bright and it was so relaxing. XOXO – Bacon
